How to Play

Spot something that starts with each letter of the alphabet during your road trip! Tap a letter when you find something — an Airplane for A, a Barn for B, and so on. Your progress is saved automatically. Can you complete the whole alphabet?

Any word that starts with the letter counts, not just the example shown on the tile — the examples are there to give you an idea if you get stuck, not to limit what qualifies.

Tips for Finishing Faster

The hardest letters are usually Q, X, and Z, so keep them in the back of your mind the whole trip instead of waiting until the end. Q often comes from a Quarry, a Quilt shop, or someone's Question; X usually shows up as a railroad crossing sign or an "X-ing" road sign; Z is easiest to catch on a Zoo sign or a license plate. Common letters like E, S, and T tend to fill in on their own from Exit signs, Stop signs, and Trucks within the first few miles, so save your focus for the rare ones.

Rule Variations

The standard game has no time limit — just complete the alphabet whenever you can. Groups often add their own twists:

Race mode — everyone plays on their own device, and whoever reaches Z first wins.
Strict mode — only the exact example word counts for each letter, no substitutes allowed.
Category mode — restrict every find to one category, like "only signs" or "only vehicles," for a harder round.

A Road Trip Tradition

The alphabet game is one of the oldest road trip pastimes, popular with families long before car games came with screens.
